Find inspiration for your next song with over 1,150 General MIDI (GM) drum grooves and fills for compatible GM-mapped drum samplers. The Pop Punk & Alt Rock MIDI Drum Bundle brings together two groove libraries, giving you fast, energetic Pop Punk patterns alongside hard-hitting Alt Rock and Post Hardcore grooves.
Built to aid songwriting across Pop Punk, Punk Rock, Alt Rock, Rock and Post Hardcore, the bundle gives you a wider range of ideas to try with your riffs, from straight and syncopated beats to half-time grooves, drum breaks and rhythmic variations.
What's included?
- Pop Punk MIDI Drum Pack: over 750 General MIDI drum grooves and fills inspired by 90s through modern-day Pop Punk.
- Alt Rock/Post Hardcore MIDI Drum Pack: over 400 General MIDI drum grooves and fills covering hard-hitting modern grooves across different tempos and styles.
- Pop Punk info pack with a video guide and PDF mapping details, plus PDF instructions outlining mapping and use for the Alt Rock library.
Pop Punk MIDI Drum Pack

Alt Rock/Post Hardcore MIDI Drum Pack
Add heavier grooves and different rhythmic feels with over 400 grooves and fills organised into 14 subfolders. Created for Alt Rock, Rock, Post Hardcore and related subgenres, this library expands your songwriting options beyond the Pop Punk pack.
- Intro fills, fills, short fills and drum breaks.
- Tom grooves, normal-time variations and syncopated grooves.
- Half-time, quarter-time and backbeats.
- 5-over-4 and 6-over-4 patterns, plus 250 BPM and 140 BPM swing grooves.
Two libraries to aid songwriting and inspiration
Drag the MIDI files from their folders into your DAW's MIDI timeline to play through your compatible drum sampler. Try grooves with your riffs, then combine grooves and fills from either library to develop your ideas into a full arrangement.
Use the Pop Punk library when you want driving, energetic patterns, or explore the Alt Rock/Post Hardcore library for heavier grooves and alternative rhythmic feels. Both packs are included, so you can choose whichever suits the song.
Select General MIDI (GM) mapping in your sampler where needed so the grooves trigger the intended drums. The included PDFs list MIDI note values for remapping.
Download and compatibility
This bundle contains MIDI groove libraries, not drum software. Requires a drum sampler using a compatible MIDI map.
- Tested with MT Power Drum Kit 2, Logic and GarageBand Drum Kit Designer.
- Also tested with ML Drums Essentials (GM map), Mixwave samplers (Default and GM), Abbey Road Drummer (GM map), Bogren Krimh (GM map), Modern & Massive 2 (Logic Drummer map or GM) and GGD (GM).
- For other samplers, check their mapping options. Remapping may be needed.
- Delivered as a ZIP digital download containing both MIDI libraries and their supporting instructions.
- This is the General MIDI version of the bundle, not an AIFF Apple Loop library.
- MIDI files are for playback through your compatible drum sampler, not standalone audio loops.
