The DIY Punk Rock Pop Punk MIDI Drum Pack is a collection of over 750 General MIDI (GM) grooves and fills for compatible GM-mapped drum samplers, created to aid your songwriting and inspiration.
Inspired by 90s through modern-day Pop Punk, the pack is created for Punk Rock, Skate Punk and related subgenres.
With the loops provided, a drum track can be written in minutes by dragging and dropping your chosen files into your DAW's MIDI timeline for playback through your compatible drum sampler!
What's inside?
The MIDI files are organised into 16 subfolders, including:
- Intro fills, fills, half-time fills and drum breaks.
- Tom grooves, straight groove essentials, normal-time variations and syncopated grooves.
- Half-time, quarter-time, double-time D-beats, backbeats and breakdowns.
- 240 BPM-plus patterns and an "182-inspired" folder with grooves, fills, hi-hat and snare variations.
Download and compatibility
All purchases are delivered as a digital download containing the MIDI library and an info pack with a video guide and PDF mapping details.
Select General MIDI (GM) mapping in your sampler where needed so the grooves trigger the intended drums. The included PDF lists the MIDI note values for remapping.
- Tested with MT Power Drum Kit 2, Logic and GarageBand Drum Kit Designer.
- Also tested with ML Drums Essentials (GM map), Mixwave samplers (Default and GM), Abbey Road Drummer (GM map), Bogren Krimh (GM map), Modern & Massive 2 (Logic Drummer map or GM) and GGD (GM).
- For other samplers, check their mapping options. Remapping may be needed.
This purchase contains MIDI files only. Requires your own drum sampler using a General MIDI map. Drum software is not included.
